In June of 2006, the Nebraska Alliance for Arts Education merged with Nebraskans for the Arts to strengthen the voice for the arts in Nebraska.

We promote the advancement of learning in and through the arts for all Nebraska residents.

We are an organization dedicated to promoting the arts to our federal, state, and local policymakers as well as our school boards, superintendents, and principals.

The arts are essential to the quality of life in Nebraska, and Nebraskans for the Arts is in place to put the arts at the center of life and learning in Nebraska.

Nebraskans for the Arts is comprised of three main focus areas: Arts Education, Resources & Information and Advocacy.

The Nebraska Alliance for Arts Education serves as the Education Committee of Nebraskans for the Arts. We are dedicated to the advancement of learning in and through the arts. We offer award programs such as our Nebraska School Board for the Arts Award and our Creative Ticket Schools of Excellence Awards. We co-sponsor young musicians to participate in the Kennedy Center/National Symphony Orchestra's Summer Music Institute. The Education Committee also develops and maintains professional development opportunities for arts teachers and maintains connections with other arts educator service organizations.
